You have plenty of time to add different foods as she develops
her finger feeding skills.

The only major first year developmental
skill missing is the pincer grasp (using thumb and index
finger to pick up small objects), and I will let self -
feeding take care of that one.
Once your baby has gotten pretty
skilled with
feeding herself, using utensils or
fingers, you may notice that she now wants to overstuff her mouth.
If a self -
fed baby is given the chance to develop their
skills with
finger foods, they'll get the hang of it eventually and begin consuming just what they need.
