If you aren't able to get the General
Finishes paint, really any paint will work for a
plank wall.

While most of my cabinets were finally painted right before Christmas (along with my family room
walls and trim and part of the horizontal
planking in my little hall) my one «open cabinet» in the kitchen was not able to be painted as it had to have some
finishing work done on the inside of it first.
Add construction adhesive to the back of your
planks and secure them to the
wall with
finish nails.
I really love both methods, but what I'd really love to know is how you'd suggest
finishing off windows on a
planked wall.
Once all the
planks are up, we'll re-attach the crown molding and baseboard cap molding, and then use some kind of trim down the sides of the
walls to

As you can see, they added white - painted wood
planks to the
wall, and
finished it off with tile on the hearth and surround.

So after we

We just

plank walls, so I was feeling protective and wanted to avoid peppering them with holes.
The rough texture of the
planks, installed with the unfinished side facing out, lends a light and airy washed
