And since this post is all about the finishing touches, I thought I'd include photos of some things in the room I've already blogged about, too.

When I take a photo of a room that has been wonderfully decorated, but see that one of the biggest surfaces in the space, the floor (with often quite blah carpet in a tone that does nothing for the design) takes so much away from the finished look.

Photo 7: I am asking about painting walls and wood the same color (different finish of pain) because I remember reading that makes a room look bigger.

The room is a sunroom; the corbels with a finish like the ones in the photo look sun bleached and weathered as if they had been outside for decades.

Since these photos were taken, the sheet rock has been finished in the two guest bedrooms, craft room, and kitchen.
