To that end I've created a new CAST — what can I say, I heart robots — and named her Alis, a memorial to, of course, the protagonist of the very
first Phantasy Star game.
The game will be
the first Phantasy Star game since the Genesis titles to primarily focus on single player.
Its basically
the first Phantasy Star Online (DC) but with more than three levels and actual gameplay instead of that 1, 2, 3 junk.
Personally I much preferred
the first Phantasy Star.
The death of a major character (one of the best and most beloved) occurs halfway through the game, while another major character from
the first Phantasy Star makes a surprise return on Dezo.
Not exact matches
First, Sega took to Twitter to confirm that the Sega Ages program, lead by Studio M2, will make titles like Sonic the Hedgehog, Thunder Force 2 and
Phantasy Star available on Nintendo Switch.

Phantasy Star Online was probably the
first online multiplayer action - RPG for consoles.
But you do get several role play games, a hefty dose of Sonic, all three Streets of Rage, all four pre-online
Phantasy star games, the
first having been released on the Master System, Shining Force 1 and 2 and Shining in the Darkness as well as others.
When I
first started playing
Phantasy Star 2 a few years ago, tried it without any kind of guide.
Even today, the

It's obvious to anyone playing the game that
Phantasy Star is one of the earliest entries in the console RPG genre, but the fact that it was Sega's very
first may come as a shock to some in consideration of how many things the game does right, even today.
Phantasy Star II stands on its own for sure, though — it expands on the universe created in the
first title, which came out for the Master System, while easing up on some of that game's arcane difficulty level.
The
first console game from Sega's answer to Shigeru Miyamoto, it stood pretty quietly in the background while
Phantasy Star and Shining Force took all of the Sega RPG glory (as well they might), and that is a pity.
But they would have the
first «DLC» with the
Phantasy Star Titles later on available through the modem service.
Phantasy Star may also be the
first RPG to make use of the now overtired «false boss» routine, unveiling the real ultimate evil and true final dungeon only after Lassic is defeated.
Alis (
Phantasy Star 1)-- As the
first female lead in a JRPG, choosing her for the top spot was a no - brainer.
Sega: We wanted to capitalize on the name value of
Phantasy Star first and foremost.
If we had tried to add one for
Phantasy Star IV,
first, it would have to be absolutely perfectly entered (just having one character off would mean it wouldn't work), and the password would be so long it would take two screens to write out — not the kind of thing you can just write down on a notepad.
