It was one of the
first smartwatches to feature a
circular display without a «flat tire» underneath (a la Moto 360), and the fairly high screen - to - bezel ratio made for a relatively small watch.
This is the firm's
first attempt at making a smartwatch with a fully -
circular display, but you'd be fooled in thinking that they had been doing this for years.
The latest wearable from Samsung continues the company's tradition of pushing Tizen as their primary smartphone OS, though this time the watch adds some
firsts for the Tizen - powered Gear family: a

Moto 360 followed Samsung Gear Live and LG G Watch to become the third Android Wear - based smartwatch out on the market and a
first one to sport a
circular display.
While the
first smartwatches featured a rectangular screen, newer smartwatches include a
circular display, and this tred seems to be here to stay, as some of the better - looking watches are round.

first Android Wear device.
