Moving to the U.S. from small - town Russia in the 90s and going to a Ben & Jerry's ice cream shop for the
first time was completely mind - blowing because a) back home, we did not have dedicated ice cream shops, b) ice cream flavors I grew up with were very basic and I had never seen so many extensive flavor options c) they sold
little tubs of ice cream to take home, which was unheard of in Russia at the time d) everything
tasted incredibly decadent and delicious.
This mousse was so different than anything I'm used to, so my
taste buds were a
little confused at the
first bite, but with each bite it grew tastier and tastier and now I love it.

Swiss Meringue Buttercream is a
little intimidating at
first, but I think it
tastes 10000x better than normal buttercream frosting.
I have to admit, the
first time I tried it, I was a
little hesitant about it actually
tasting and resembling ricotta, but holy cannoli.
First one was a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice blended with one or two eggs with a
little sugar added to
taste if required.
So before you decide to add more of these spicy spices, give them a

This was my
first time to use molasses and the
taste was a
little too strong for me, not being used to it.
They were in the oven for 8 minutes and they looked ready and I tapped them slightly with a spoon and it was still soft so I left them in for a extra 4 minutes and they were golden so I took them out and they were still a
little soft but in about a minute they became hard (not like rocks) hard as in «they held themselves» so there was no crumbling maybe that's the issue with the other women how they had crumbling issues, the batter was a
little crumbly but not crazy loose crumbly and the cookies never crumbled for me and this is my
first time making these and they
tasted perfect, they had just the right amount of bite and they were so soft on the inside as well as on the inside and that's how I like my cookies, YUM, I could only have three (1.

Nothing is more enjoyable than watching your
