Even though
fish does not feature
on my list for the weekdays as I depend
on the previous night's dinner for my dose of lunch the next day at office, my folks at home need a small piece of fried
fish to go with their afternoon meals of
rice and curry.
Just cooked this up after finding it
on Pinterest to serve with
fish tacos with plans to use the left over
rice to stuff red peppers.
Season the puffed
rice and serve
on its own, sprinkled over a salad or alongside chicken or
fish.
Though famous for its soba noodles later in the day, this hallway of a spot opens at 7 a.m., doling out miso soup, udon, pickles,
rice, vegetable side dishes and more
fish than would show up
on a continental breakfast menu.
And if you have some staples
on hand, like
rice vinegar, limes and
fish sauce, it's a snap to make.
OK, here are some favorites we've been cooking up at my place: - vegetable curry (grind my own whole spices, use whatever veggies we get in our weekly CSA share; radishes / beets, eggplant, squash, greens, etc)- quick kale (sauteed with coconut oil, chili flakes, garlic, [lemon grass], soy sauce, lemon juice)- pac choi w / sauteed mushrooms «chinese» style (with
fish sauce,
rice wine vinegar, jalepeno / chili, soy sauce, etc)- roasted radishes w / poached eggs - «teamwork pasta» — this is your recipe for pepper and cheese pasta, but it helps having two sets of hands to make it in our house... we put an egg
on this too of course - tuna pasta (chopped onion, garlic, lemon zest, chili flakes, tuna, olives — easily adaptable to what you already have in the house and like)- roast chicken
on friday - roasted sweet potatoes - omlets - challa french toast
Eat a complete protein for breakfast (animal sources: eggs, meat, raw or grass - fed dairy,
fish or a combo of two incomplete proteins like
rice and beans, nut butter
on toast, etc..)
Pour the beef broth, 1/2 cup soy sauce (adjust depending
on your taste), 1/4 cup
rice vinegar and
fish sauce over the beef.
Definitely need to cut the soy sauce in half and monitor the amount of ginger — then just dribble a bit of the sauce
on the
fish and
rice.
Dog - Gone Pineapple Honey Hot Sauce really shines
on fish and seafood as well as pork, plus it's great with chicken, fried
rice, stir - fry dishes, and even in baked beans.

fish pieces in it to coat.
Or, I'll stir - fry beef or chicken or tofu in a mixture of sugar,

on top of
rice.

rice, cauliflower and

I was consuming meat /
fish / chicken I usually had white
rice as an accompaniment until about 2 years ago when I decided to go

But it is more likely to grow
on salted
fish than
on stored
rice.
