on savory Asian flavors with this quick
steak marinade recipe.
In this post, I used the cocoa spice rub
on a gorgeous
flank steak, but it would be awesome
on any type of
steak that is getting a hot and fast sear (think rib - eye, sirloin, skirt
steak).
I knew that meal - making was up for grabs so I focused
on that, and in less than 20 minutes I had boiled some noodles, made a salad, whisked together two quick sauces, and sent Rob outside to grill a
flank steak.
I can't wait to try the Dr. Pepper marinade
on flank steak next weekend — hubby will have fun grilling!

Meat consumption in the West has grown tremendously, and nowadays it's common for people to serve themselves a
flank of
steak with a small scoop of veggies
on the side.
Slice 3 ounces of the grilled
flank steak, and place it
on top of 2 cups mixed salad greens.
Place the block of Himalayan rock salt
on the stove and set to low heat, gradually, over the course of 30 minutes, bringing it to high heat, until the block reaches a cooking temperature of 475 to 500 degrees F. Cut the piece of
flank steak length wise along the grain of the meat, creating two long strips.
Place a whole rib eye or thin slices of
flank steak directly
on your block.
Use this healthy salad dressing to marinate
flank steak or
on a green salad with shrimp.
A note
on the
steak, you can also use tri-tip, top round, top sirloin, skirt
steak, or
flank steak.

flank steak, cut across the grain
on a diagonal into 1 - inch thick slices or left whole (marinating can be longer if the
steak is whole)
