Nautical designs are probably top of my favourite style themes
so the print on this dress makes me happy, and while the Joni has a
flared skirt rather than a full circle I was still able to fit a slim petticoat for this shoot.
The
skirt is full but not technically a full circle
so it sits slightly slimmer on the hips before
flaring out beautifully, able to take a medium volume petticoat.
However, I've noticed my boss wearing shorter
flared skirts recently
so I'm pretty sure I'm still in the clear dress code-wise.
The panel piecing construction of this dark floral print
skirt lend it a tulip - like shape that skims along my curves more
so than a
flared skirt would.
So here it is, my savior out of the monotonous regime of
flare skirts: the bell sleeve.

so flattering) and don't uncomfortably hug the booty and thighs.

so it gives you that breezy feeling of not having folds and folds of fabric surrounding your legs.
But pencil, A-line, and some
flared skirts will all work harmoniously with many hourglass variants
so long as they're around knee length.
I do feel that the fit and
flare are cooler because the
skirt is
so open at the bottom a lot of air gets up there haha.

so many ways I plan on wearing this beauty this summer — with a pencil
skirt (a la this gingham number), with
flared denim or boyfriend jeans, tucked into a leather mini... seriously the possibilities are endless.
