paint, several waxes then I switched to polycrylic top coats and have tried several, the best I've ever used is Polyvine Decorator's Varnish Dead

paint twice on lamps (Anne Sloan) a (ceader chest walamrt wavely) so can i do this make my own chalk
paint using satin
paint so when ever i see a scratch or roughness i could touch up but the poly makes a great shine i when i do something i love for it to look factory made and also if i was to use poly
over satin how would i touch up which one is more durable poly
over flat or stain

flat oil
paint, then applying Chalk
Paint directly
over it should be fine.
The glossier the
paint the less the stain will show up
over the stencil, so go gloss for a really white stencil and
flat for a more tone on tone effect.
