Sometimes I will shoot an outfit and realize it looks completely different in photos than real life (confirmed by people who saw me in real life) and don't blog it because it's not the most flattering or something is off.

(BTW — a flat lay is a photo of an outfit taken from above on a flat surface for the purposes of displaying it.

I didn't get chance to post my outfit from the last challenge, but you can see a photo of it in flat - lay form over on Jen's blog.

While it's awesome for outfit photos, it was virtually impossible to shoot flat lays, travel shots, or lifestyle settings with since it is so tightly cropped.

1 pm: I use this time to take care of any pressing needs, outstanding tasks, outfit planning for future posts or to take a batch of flat lay photos.

Or we need to take this outfit photo before we start to enjoy the day, because my hair is going to go flat and my clothes are going to get wrinkly.

For family photos, I always say start with something that YOU feel most comfortable in and that you like and flatters you, and then work your kids outfits around that.

When I set out my camo outfit for the flat lay photo, I opened the door from my fashion haus leading onto the balcony.

(My other tip for DSLR shooting: If you often shoot outfit photos, shoot with a 35 mm lens over a 50 mm — the wider angle is far more flattering!

FLAT SHOES AND SKIRT OUTFIT You will find a lot of photos in the internet with vogue magazine and fruits (especially oranges) inside the net bag.

sadly all of my outfit photos are taken in my flat, with the self - time function, as i have no willing volunteers for photography!

I have seen quite some photos recently with outfits including flat caps and so far I thought it wasn't for me.

I totally agree: so many times I've started taking outfit photos, looked back at the first couple and then gone and changed because they've helped me see that the outfit really wasn't flattering.

You can do a mirror selfie, a flat lay (where you lay the outfit out on the floor or a table and take a photo), or have someone else take your picture while you're wearing the outfit.

In addition, the outfits you choose for your dating photo shoot should be super flattering — opt for bright colours, nothing too baggy or too tight, and make sure to include that killer first date outfit that always makes you feel hot to trot.
