Sometimes, though, I'm in the mood for a more unique
flavor on my bagel; one can only cycle through peanut butter, cream cheese or jelly so many times.

It uses poppy seeds, an ingredient I'd never bought before (except
on a
bagel, but that's buying a
bagel, not poppy seeds), and all the ingredients create a really nice balance of sweet, savory, and herbal
flavors.
The chive
flavor had a great savory taste and was amazing spread
on everything
bagels!
Regarding
flavor, I've had these
bagels taste «sweet»
on some days and more tangy
on others.
However, if you're wanting cream cheese as a spread
on a
bagel, some of the fruit -
flavored vegan cream cheeses should work.

Other big hits have been leftover pizza (
on a wheat crust), and a whole wheat
bagel with
flavored cream cheese.
The variety I used for this recipe is Asiago
flavored bagels, so I only olive oil and sea salt
on them and we happily dipped them in Spinach Dip.
