Almond and
flax meal have a higher natural fat content so they can get crispy when sautéd without oil, just be sure to use a very low temperature because they are also more likely to burn.

've never used egg replacement myself, but apparently people get great result with «
flax eggs», which consists of
flax seed
meal mixed with water.
As are
flax meal / ground
flax seeds, but sometimes you just don't
have those extra ingredients around the house and I almost always
have eggs around the house.
Lately, I
've been making it vegan using
flax seed
meal instead of the egg and Earth Balance butter substitute.
I tweaked it a little — whole wheat flour, oat bran,
flax seed
meal, light on sugar, added walnuts, used Jack Daniels because we didn't
have bourbon... but oh my, they are delicious, and I especially love that they aren't sticky / gummy in that way that banana bread so often is.
Since I
have gone gluten free, I
have noticed that a lot of recipes for baked products (i.e. breads, muffins, cookies, etc.) seem on occassion to call for
flax meal.
Creamy, hearty oats that sit overnight in the fridge with organic
flax meal and chia seeds for omega - 3's and a nutty texture, classic gingerbread spices, plus just the teeniest pinch of real organic blackstrap molasses (a gingerbread MUST -
have and great source of iron, calcium, and potassium), and finally, a touch of non-dairy milk all come together to create one incredible breakfast that is great for your heart, skin, and tummy too!

flax meal (in the middle of hurricane Sandy and
had no
flax), and the bread turned green... SO glad that someone else experienced this and it was answered.

I live in South Africa where we apparently don't
have any
flax meal... so I imported some from your side of the world and can't wait to taste the results.
I didn't
have coconut flour,
flax meal or apple cider vinegar.
I know
flax seed
meal has the potential to create the taste.
It was made with almond
meal and I left out the
flax meal, the only container I
had close to that size was a 8.5 x 4.5 pyrex dish.
I
had almond
meal from Trader Joes and
Flax Seed (not golden).
I didn't
have flax meal so used 1/4 C more coconut flour.

I made it not too long ago without the
flax meal (I didn't
have any) and it was great then as well, but I absolutely love it this morning with the
flax added.
Flax seed
meal is also grainy which is another reason to avoid using it in the above products, where smoothness
would be important.
I know you
've probably already made the cake but I just wanted to answer your question and say that as of now I don't recommend
flax meal egg replacers in cakes, due to it not being a structure builder.
I
have flax meal (although we are trying to stay away from seeds for right now, that seems like a good sub from what I hear).
I see that this was a year ago, but in
have the same issue and I substitute 1tbls of
flax meal mixed with 3 tbls warm water to replace one egg.
I add my favorite clean, raw, plant - based protein along with a sprouted broccoli / chia /
flax blend and I
've got a complete filling
meal.
I also tend to keep leftover aquafaba (chickpea cooking water) in the freezer for occasions that call for quick crepe
meals like this one, but if you're partial to eggs and / or
have flax or chia, those options work as well.
I don't
have an immediate source for that quantity of seeds but do
have flax seed
meal!
I did make a couple adjustments; I didn't use
flax meal, in fact I used Bob's Red Mill GF All Purpose Baking Flour since I
have a large quanity on hand.
Oh, btw, we add
flax seed, olive oil, whipped up eggs, and wheat germ to the oatmeal and my kids all still really enjoy it and it
has become a power packed nutritious
meal for my need to gain weight child.

flax meal is the best alternative (this recipe uses
flax: Keto Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal) but then you can't eat
flax so I'm not sure.
So for this recipe, you
'd want to use 1/2 cup of soy, rice or coconut yogurt and additional 2 tablespoons of
flax meal.

These hens
have at least been given
flax meal (and should not
have been fed GMO grains) which increases the Omega - 3 content of their eggs.
I like to use a spelt or sprouted whole wheat, but I think even coconut flour or almond
meal,
flax meal or oats
would do the trick.

I think you could use
flax meal or oat flour — the almond
meal is used as a binder and for consistency and I
would guess that either of those
would provide a similar texture.
I used a combination of sunflower seeds and
flax meal instead of the nuts because my daughter
has a nut allergy.
I added a shallot and a 1/4 cup of golden
flax meal to the meatball mixture and next time I
would omit the 1/2 tsp.
This last time I overlooked the
flax meal and things still turned out — even
had a bit more rise in the loaf, though that may not be a direct correlate to the
flax meal omission.
On my first time through, I tried replacing the 1/4 c.
flax seed
meal with 1/4 c. chia seeds, as I didn't
