recipe, Chia
seeds are really hard to get my hands on but
flax seeds are really inexpensive.
I also used chia
seeds instead of milled
flax (using the same amounts as in the original
recipe) and it worked really well.
I do see chia
seeds in
recipes in lieu of
flax seed as the egg substitute.
I made this

I know sometimes it can be a pain to find ground
flax seeds (I linked to some in the
recipe), but I really think they help baked goods have the traditional texture, and they give good Omega 3's — so it helps me feel better about that glaze.
I added hemp, chia, and
flax seed to my
recipe.
I've used boiled
flax seeds in other
recipes in the past before but wondering if it would work in this bread....
As long as you keep the same amount of linseeds (
flax seed), eggs and oil, the
recipe will bind together.
When i google replacing
flax seeds or any thing else they say you need to know why they are added to the
recipe for flavor and nutrition or as binders.
Follow the
recipe the but instead of
flax liquefy about 1/4 cup chia
seeds (soaked, they doubled in volume) in vitamix and add them to the food processor at the end, it will seem like a lot because they fluff up in the vitamix.
However I sometimes do that with flaxseed or chia
seed (where the
recipe calls for
flax or chia gel, I just skip that step and add
seeds and water straight to the mix), so it might work here as well.
I use the general rule to not replace more than 3 eggs with
Flax Seed Egg Replacer when veganizing a normal family - sized

I've been wanting to make my own crackers and as a keen observer of all things foodie, I've come across a few
recipes for
flax seed or linseed crackers.
I added some ground
flax seeds and toasted millet (which I bought specifically to make your crackly banana bread
recipe) and skipped the coconut because my husband is ridiculous.
The rough
recipe was: 1 c rolled oats ground in a blender, 1/2 c melted coconut oil, 1/2 c ground
flax seeds, 1/4 t salt, 3 - 4 T honey (or to taste).
In this case, you can mix 1 Tbsp of ground
flax seed with 1 1/2 -2 Tbsp of water (see my Paleo chewy granola bar
recipe as an example).
Would it be possible to put a little note in the
recipe to warn off anyone else who thinks they can sub
flax seed eggs for real eggs?

recipe with gram measurements (weighing ingredients seems so much easier anyway... maybe you can provide weights with future
