There are a number of ways to check for
fleas on a dog: observing changes in behavior, combing to
look for
flea dirt, finding tapeworm segments or
larvae and noting hair loss.
But don't blame yourself —
flea eggs and
larvae are tiny and can be difficult to spot, especially if you don't know what you're
looking for.
If you find just one adult
flea in your pets fur, you are really
looking at numerous hidden pupae,
larva and hundreds of eggs which reside on your pet, in your home's carpeting and yard.
