Use your hands to make a hole in the centre of the wreath and place the spool of
floral wire in the centre (leave it there for now).
Start with a large flat surface area to work on with all your supplies handy and pre-cut
your floral wire in pieces about 6 inches long.
• Cut
your floral wire in 9 ″ pieces and wrap around each pine cone one at a time.

I weaved my

I think through the details of the real flower and how I might build the structure, or how would this paper need to curl to replicate this petal... So
in noodling the hydrangea, I came up with the idea of this
floral wire structure of 30 strands each to make the bloom.
I went back and forth trying to decide if I should use hot glue or the

in the end the
wire won.
I have no idea what the official terms are for a
floral wire wreath form (or even if there are any official terms), but here is what I am going to refer to
in this tutorial.
I also use

wire the cones onto the wreath as i store my wreaths
in a barn after Christmas and the hot glue wouldn't last and the cones would fall off.
I then cut off a small piece of
floral wire (about 1.5 - 2 ″), bent it
in half, and slid it around a divider bar on the outer loop of the wreath form.
Once
in the position desired, use the
floral wire to tie & hold shape
in place.
