I tried this and it predictably fell apart like most coconut
flour recipes do.
The reason so many eggs are needed is because coconut flour recipes don't call for xanthan gum like other gluten free recipes do.
Coconut
flour recipes do rely heavily on eggs to make them light an give it structure.

flour recipes do you think dried cranberries would work instead of raisins?

recipe has been tested by two of our
recipe developers multiple times.
If you substitute salted butter for the unsalted called for; if you use margarine instead of butter; if you use something weird instead of eggs; if you use an artificial sweetener instead of sugar; if you decide to be healthy and use whole wheat
flour... please don't send me an email to let me know this is an awful
recipe.
If you don't have whole wheat pastry
flour on hand, you can sub 1/2 whole wheat and 1/2 all - purpose in the
recipe to produce somewhat similar results.

I used my
recipe for chickpea
flour «tortillas» since I was working on the chickpea
flour and didn't want to buy any corn ones especially.
These were beautiful however I used white self raising
flour instead and I also
did 2 cups
flour, 2 eggs, almost a cup of milk and a dollop extra sunflower oil (which I also used in the
recipe instead of canola as I didn't have any).
Forgot to buy coconut milk so used greek yogurt instead and grated apple instead of apple sauce and corn starch for arrowroot
flour (ok, I didn't have a few ingredients but it still came out great Frosting is so good (yes, I licked my spatula clean) I came here via Pinterst now I need to check out the rest of your
recipe.

flour, so you don't have to have as many failed
recipes as I have, and I will be introducing a gluten free
flour that you have probably never heard of, but will absolutely fall in love with.
i'd suggest just looking for a brownie
recipe that doesn't rely too heavily on
flour, picking up any old bag of all purpose GF
flour, and substituting it straight across.

done that... when I use peanut
flour, I usually just use it as part of the
recipe and not the entire amount of
flour.
Perhaps if cooked for less time or with no
flour as others suggested it would be great, but I don't love

I have made cookies with quinoa
flour in the past, but found they didn't taste sweet enough, so when I use quinoa
flour again I would pick a bread or muffin

Hi Linda, it could be caused by too long of a rise (this
recipe rises very quickly), the need for additional
flour, or pulling out of the oven before it's completely
done.
If you don't need to make a gluten - free pie crust then you can use regular
flour in this
recipe.
