It's a strange thing to see, considering previous leaks and rumors have said that the 4.7 - inch iPhone 6 would have
a flush camera design, while the 5.5 - inch iPhone 6 could boast a slightly protruding camera set up, just like we see on the current generation iPod touch.
Not exact matches
The Huawei phone's
design is also more attractive, with the glossy rear panel and
flush camera lenses looking and feeling more premium than the rather plain Honor View 10.
While the iPhone 6 adopted rounded edges and a curved display, the iPhone 5s and SE have a boxier
design with a thicker body, chamfered edges, flat display, round volume buttons, glass antenna inserts, a power button located at the top of the device, a
flush camera, and a pill - shaped rear flash.
The rear
camera is completely
flush with the glass plate on the back, a
design feat that Apple and Samsung have yet to achieve.
Samsung makes a point to note that the Galaxy J7 Prime's
camera module sits
flush with the rest of the body, a
design element that doesn't negatively affect the phone's thickness.
The rear
camera on the iPhone 6 / 6s and iPhone 6 Plus / 6s Plus protrude just a bit, so going back to a
flush design will be a welcomed addition for many.

The biggest difference in
design between the two is that the Idol 4 features a completely flat backside that includes the
flush camera module, whereas the 4s» 16 - mp shooter bulges out a bit — similar to the
camera on Samsung's Galaxy S6.
These Leica
cameras aren't
flush to the
design this time, perhaps due to the larger 20 - megapixel resolution and overall sensor size of these two
cameras.
One
design flourish that Huawei is keen to stress though is that the
camera lenses are
flush to the rear casing.
Fortunately, since the Moto Z2 Play still supports Motorola's Moto Mods, you can magnetically snap a case or cover on the back to mask the rear
design and make the
camera flush.
One other tweak to the
design that we'd like to see is a rear
camera that sits
flush with the back of the handset.
