rather earn points to
fly business class for free to Europe than notes from Nordstrom -LCB- which you can do anyways with the shop card -RCB-
Rather than the standard 105,000 miles required, you can
fly round - trip in
business class for just 55,000 miles!
Business class requires 7,750 Avios on off - peak dates and 9,000 Avios on peak dates, but because the flight is
rather quick, I recommend saving your miles and
flying in economy.
So, if you are interested in
flying to Europe in United or AC
business class, and especially if you want to use free stopovers, I'm urging you to drop everything you might be currently doing and make the booking now,
rather than later.
(I'd
rather save my miles and
fly Cathay's
business class than American's first
class, for example.)
I'll foreshadow a little bit by saying that overall the Citi Prestige ® Card is the much better card UNLESS you use American Airlines lounges quite a bit when NOT
flying American Airlines or US Airways (a
rather rare condition probably) or only want to earn rewards that are great for international
Business and First
Class.
And perhaps the argument here is not that people are very willing to spend $ 7,000 of their company's money, but
rather that companies believe their employees are $ 5,000 more productive after
flying business class versus
flying coach.
