whether for the right or wrong reasons, our leader chose to stay on when things took a turn of sorts... a new owner arrived on the scene, plans for a new stadium emerged and Wenger became the bearer of bad news... he sold us on a new story, one that required patience on our parts... financial constraints were the order of the day, so that the enormous sums spent on the new venue could be recouped... although some would question the validity of such claims, why wouldn't they believe their faithful leader... according to those within the hierarchy, the future never looked so bright, as this new home would ensure our place among the elites for years to come... as we all know now these claims were a well constructed fabrication and so those who feel they were duped in the process are infuriated and rightly so... the fact that this club and it's manager have continually misled the
fans, especially
following Gazidis's claims about our financial liquidity, simply rubbed more salt in an already gaping wound... this surely isn't how you treat your «family», especially when they supported you through the supposed «lean» years... it was a dirty trick played by Kroenke but the fact is was orchestrated by Wenger himself hurt the most... as for those in the media, many of whom are former players or longtime pundits, who observed the
early years firsthand, saw this as the perfect opportunity to vent the anger they felt towards this pretentious man once and for all... all in all, karma's a bitch
Started
following the Pens as a kid during the
early 90s, been a huge
fan through the good and bad years since then.
nice to see you crawl out of your hole just in time to offer your 2 cents worth once again... unlike yourself I started
following this team long before Wenger arrived on the scene and will continue to do so long after he's gone... in his
earlier years I admired the cerebral elements he brought to the EPL, which at that point was more brutish than beautiful, and I respected the seemingly tireless efforts of Arsene, Dein & staff to uncover and develop talent without sacrificing the product on the field... likewise I appreciated that such a youthful manager wasn't afraid to bring strong personalities and / or world - class players into the fold without being fearful of how said players would potentially undermine and / or dilute his authority... unfortunately this all changed about 10 years ago and culminated in the removal of all our greatest players, both young and old, without any real replacements coming in... from Henry to RVP to Fabergas and Nasri, it was easy to see that this club was no longer interested in competing at the highest levels... instead of being honest, minus the ridiculous claims regarding the new stadium, Wenger chose to side with management and in doing so became the «front man» for this corporation pretending to be a world - class soccer club... without the «front man» this organization would have been exposed numerous years
earlier, so his presence was imperative if the facade was to continue... it's for this reason and more that I despise what this once great man and Kroenke has done to my beloved club... the gutless, shameful and manipulative way they have treated the
fans, like myself, is largely indefensible and this is why I felt it necessary to start offering my opinion in a public format... trust me, I resisted the temptation for many years but as long as the same shit continues to exist I will voice my opinions and if you don't like it maybe you should look for a different team to pretend to
follow
In other news, our team seems to be rounding nicely into form, with a productive off - season and several new additions already settling in, there seems to be a renewed sense of confidence in the air... our well - oiled machine has conducted business again
early this year, so we can just sit back, kick our feet up and watch all those other suckers scramble to make panic moves in the 11th hour... of course, we need to tie up a few loose ends but our team of savvy negotiators, under the tutelage of our faithful leader, will perform their usual magic with ample time to spare... I have to laugh when I look around the soccer world and see all those teams look upon us with envy and scorn as they struggle to mimic our seemingly infallible business model... thank goodness the powers that be had the foresight and fortitude to resist the temptations of the modern football era... instead of listening to all the experts and simply taking the easy way out by making the necessary improvements on the field and in the front office, we chose the path never traveled... we are truly pioneers in our field... sometimes you just have to have faith in the people that have always conducted themselves in a respectful and honest fashion... most
fans aren't so fortunate, they will never know what it's like to
follow a team that treats everyone in and around the club as if they were an extended member of the family... all for one I say... so when you wake up this morning, please try not to gloat when you see rival
fans pacing back and forth waiting for their respective teams to pull the usual panic buys, just say nothing and be thankful that it isn't you... like I've always said, this is why you stay the course... this is when the real benefits of having someone in charge for over 2 decades really pays off... have a great day fellow Gunners

Secondly, Wenger needs to become far more flexible when it comes to his formation selections... remember this is the same individual that hadn't used a 3 - back system for 20 years and only conceded to the experiment when the proverbial shit hit the
fan... you know it killed him to adopt «Conte's» system, which is probably why he resisted so long; in fact his stubbornness to adjust even
earlier might have cost us the 4 hole... much like most sports that have tactical formations, every team should have a «base» offensive and defensive scheme, but they likewise need to have some inherent flexibility depending on the opposing teams tactics and / or when specific substitutions are made... how many times have you watched a Wenger - run team make a late substitution but not change their shape on the pitch... furthermore, how many times have you seen our team fail to make the necessary adjustments at halftime due to Wenger's tactical stubbronness, which often led to giving up goals in the
early minutes of the second - half... the best teams in the world know how to make halftime adjustments whereas we always seem to be surprised when the opposing team throws a wrinkle into the mix
following halftime... this my friend is soccer 101
It might be a bit too
early to write the current season off for Arsenal, especially as we knew that it was going to be a tough start, with the Gunners having played just two Premier League games so far, but after

fan will demand for another midfielder as
early as January.
Don't blame the process for the Sanchez situation, blame Wenger & Gazidis for not getting their business done
earlier and / or not
following through with the promises they have made to their high priced talent and their devoted
fans... someone please give me an example of another supposed «top club» allowing their top player to go unsigned before the final year of their contract unless they were severely injured or the club was planning on selling said player prior to their final year... on a side note, Wenger might complain about the transfer window closing so late but just think about how problematic that could be for our team which usually waits until the last second to make deals... on the one hand we might have less «panic» buys, whereas on the other hand those same ridiculous purchases might just have come weeks
earlier... Wenger will find excuses for his ineptitude in the transfer market regardless of the deadline date
Although it will be incredibly difficult to ever match his contributions on the pitch, it's vitally important for a former club legend, like Henry, to publicly address his concerns regarding the direction of this club... regardless of those who still feel that Henry has some sort of agenda due to the backlash he received
following earlier comments he made on air regarding Arsenal, he has an intimate understanding of the game, he knows the
fans are being hosed and he feels some sense of obligation, both professionally and personally, to tell it like he sees it... much like I've continually expressed over the last couple months, this team isn't evolving under this current ownership / management team... instead we are currently experiencing a «stagnant» phase in our club's storied history... a fact that can't be hidden by simply changing the formation or bringing in one or two individuals... this team needs fundamental change in the way it conducts business both on and off the pitch or it will continue to slowly devolve into a second tier club... regardless of the euphoria surrounding our escape act on Friday evening, as it stands, this club is more likely to be fighting for a Europa League spot for the foreseeable future than a top 4 finish... we can't hope for the failures of others to secure our place in the top 4, we need to be the manufacturers of our own success by doing whatever is necessary to evolve as an organization... if Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke can't take the necessary steps
following the debacle they manufactured last season, their removal is imperative for our future success... unfortunately, I strongly believe that either they don't know how to proceed in the present economic climate or they are unwilling to do whatever it takes to turn this ship around... just look at the current state of our squad, none of our world class players are under contract beyond this season, we have a ridiculous wage bill considering the results, we can't sell our deadwood because we've mismanaged our personnel decisions and contractual obligations, we haven't properly cultivated our younger talent and we might have become one of the worst clubs ever when it comes to way we handle our transfer business, which under Dein was one of our greatest assets... it's time to get things right!!!
