That
love is not some vague feeling or looking after people in our community, important though that is; it is by

loves me; and he who
loves me will be
loved by my Father, and I will
love him and manifest myself to him.»

following God's path, I didn't want to let God take control
of my life but then at one point
of my life I was going through a lot, stuff that a teenager shouldn't be going through but then I told God that I want him in my life to take control and to write

He responded by relating the parable
of the Good Samaritan, one
of my personal favorites... bear traps are hidden, and often unseen till bear or human are caught in them... the traps are deliberately placed, they don't just suddenly appear... the answer to the question was the man who had compassion on the man taken by robbers... he was a social and spiritual outcast who had compassion on someone who in normal circumstances would have hated his guts... because his doctrine and «lifestyle» were not acceptable to the religious establishment... I have had life experiences that bear this
out, experiencing
love and compassion from people whom today's religious establishment demonizes and looks down upon... any reading
of the Good Samaritan story should be
followed up by a reading
of 1 Corinthians 13....
Although his rather Platonic cosmology ends in a rather Aristotelian concept

love of Him.

We may pause to ponder, that while these royal morons disported themselves in beastly passion in Antioch and Alexandria, a petty hill town
of their domains, age - old Jerusalem,
followed its Temple services that went their quiet way, day after day, year in and year
out; and there, groups
of thoughtful men reflected upon the nature

Christ frees us from sin and death through the Holy Spirit when we
follow His leading
out of self - shaming and into His
loving presence.
Jeremy have been asking the holy spirit for his help with this and in regards to the lame man that Jesus healed I do nt believe that sin was the issue for him just like the blind man was it his parents or did he sin the answer was neither but so that God would be glorified. What was the sin that may have been worse for him.The two situations are related
of the woman caught in adultery the key words being go and sin no more only two references in the bible and will explain later the lame man we see at first his dependency on everyone else for his needs he cant do it he is in the best position to receive Gods grace but what does he do with it.Does he
follow Jesus no we are told he goes to the temple and Jesus finds him now that he has his strength to do things on his own what his response to
follow the way
of the pharisees that is what is worse than his condition before so he is warned by go and sin no more.We get confused because we see the word sin but the giver
of is speaking to him to go another way means death.Getting back to the two situations
of the woman caught in adultery and the lame man here we see a picture
of our hearts on the one our
love for sin and on the other the desire to work
out our salvation on our terms they are the two areas we have to submit to God.My experience was the self righteousness was the harder to deal with because it is linked in to our feelings
of self worth and self confidence so we have to be broken so we are humble enough to realise that without God we can do nothing our flesh hates that so it is a struggle at first to change our way
of thinking.brentnz
James, you're not correct, reason being: When you truly believe in Christ's atoning sacrifice and trust in him, you're sealed with the Holy Spirit and you are guaranteed your inheritance (Ephesians 1:13) That causes you to respond to Christ's
love by
loving him in return and have the desire to
follow him
out of gratitude.
For those who
follow Jesus, authority should be surrendered — and shared — willingly, with the humility and
love of Jesus... or else we miss the once radical teaching that slaves and masters, parents and children, husbands and wives, rich and poor, healthy and sick, should «submit to one another
out of reverence for Christ.»
I have not yet encountered someone who I think would
follow the Jesus style, unless it is some
of my friends who go
out and serve the poor, the hungry, the needy, and the homeless, while telling them about the
love of Jesus at the same time.
Jeremy I agree its not about what we can do but all about what Jesus has done for us it is all about his grace not
following mans laws or trying to please the pastor or the church.Be respectful for those in authority and show them Gods
love work hard as for the Lord as you serve them and pray for them but do nt try and please them.We no longer
follow the ways
of the world we live to please the Lord and worship him not man because that is idolatory.Thats why religion does nt work we can do nothing to add to Gods grace.Grace is also not a licence to sin as some christians believe and God is not fooled if we do not repent and turn from our sin he does nt hear our prayers if the intents
of our heart are wrong.God listens to the humble and the repentent sinner or saint. The journey in
following Christ is about how much do we want to
follow Jesus to discover the abundant life and richs in Christ we must fully give him all our hearts and serve him wholehearted
out of thankfulness for his grace and mercy towards us.brentnz
10 Now you
followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience,
love, [g] perseverance, 11 persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium and at Lystra; what persecutions I endured, and
out of them all the Lord rescued me!
I think as long as I am showing genuine concern and care for those on the street and they know I am helping
out of a
love for the lord and a
love for them it is not necessary for me to preach verbally, my «preaching» will «preach» itself as long as I am honest and willing to
follow the lord with all
of my heart.
«The main cause seems most directly tied to 9/11 because during the five years
following, quite a few evangelical books came
out warning Christians to steer clear
of Islam; in short, fear
of Muslims grew substantially,» said Larson, who commented on such exposés in a 2006 issue
of CT. «I felt such Christian writings often lacked solid research and were deficient in helping fellow believers reach
out to Muslims with
love and understanding.»
Those that don't overcome the lust
of the flesh (meaning, the ways
of the world), don't
love and
follow His truth, don't seek Him, don't believe Him, think He's a fairy tale and all that other nonsense they come up with for not abiding in His truth are blotted
out, or worse, get their own personal worm that is never quenched that feeds off
of them for eternity.
Following his death, she wrote to her relatives and friends: «To all

out, it is not the only way, and even if done, should only be a small part
of the rest

of following Jesus and
loving and serving others.
