You seem to have highlighted particular sins as though some are worse than others all sin leads to death not just the big ones because we all are sinners. All have gone astray none are righteous.I believe the worst sin is pride idolatry is the first commandment we set ourselves as Gods.Regardless
of what the sin is, our hearts are condemned by our pride. It wasnt the sin
of homosexuality or sexual deviance that destroyed sodom. It was there pride and it is one
of our biggest stumbling blocks in our christian walk or it certainly was for me.We look at the story
of the adulterous woman and we
think adultery is a terrible crime but the story is for our benefit to show that we all are sinners that Jesus does nt condemn us but came to save us.And when Jesus says go and sin no more he was not only talking to the woman but everyone else that was around judging her for her sin its a universal message that we all need to see that we all are condemned because
of our sin that Jesus came to save us and that we turn from our sin and
follow him.Because he is the
way the truth and the life.brentnz

of sin: glittering vices, willfulness, which either spiritlessly or impudently continues to be or wills to be unaware in what an infinitely deeper sense a human self is morally under obligation to God with respect to every most secret wish and
thought, with respect to quickness in comprehending and readiness to
follow every hint
of God as to what His will is for this self.
well just
thinking about these wars in the muslim / mid-east world over religious differences (which may reflect mental states in many
ways) in a world where most realize that living in the present moment is best
way to happiness and being in the moment in non-strife and awareness through the teachings
of masters such as found in the buddhist, taoist, zen, etc., etc., etc. spriritually based practices
of religious like
thought and teachings, etc. that to ask these scientifically educated populace whom have access to vast amounts
of knowledges and understandings on the internet, etc. to believe in past beliefs that perhaps gave basis and inspiration to that which
followed — but is not the end all
of all times or knowledges — and is thus — non self - sustaining in a belief that does not encompass growth
of knowledge and understanding
of all truths and being as it is or could be — is to not respect the intelligence and minds and personage
of even themselves — not to be disrespected nor disrespectful in any
way — only to point out that perhaps too much is asked to put others into the cloak
of blind faith and adherance to the past that disregards the realities
of the present and the potential
of the future... so you try to live in the past — and destroy your present and your future — where is the intelligence in that — and why do people continually fear monger or allow to be fear — mongered into this destructive vision
of the future based upon the past?

of the holy spirit in our lives.I say that because as a new christian i accepted Christ into my life and the holy spirit was convicting me to surrender my heart to him as Lord and i was resisting him i would not surrender to him fully and so he gave me a choice to either accept him or reject him.I believe he gives everyone the chance to make that commitment as Lord
of there life. When we make that deeper commitment and
follow him he will continue to perfect us through his holy spirit so that we conform to his image.By the
way i knew that if i rejected him at that point that was it he would never bother me again i would have been eternally lost the
thought was terrifying at the time. There was definitely a spiritual battle being fought over me i was very aware i needed to decide which side i was on.Thankfully i chose the winning one.brentnz

thought was a good
way to behave... some
of those guys were wise, yes, and there are benefits to
following some
of the «guidelines» set forth in the Bible... but it's a circular argument to use the Bible as a reason to have faith, because you have to first BELIEVE in the deity, THEN believe that the deity inspired the writings, THEN you can take the writings as «truth»... I'm two steps back, not believing in the deity at all (Yay, Atheists!
i am undergoing such a change in the
way i
think about God and religion and reading some
of your articles has been very refreshing — right now i am part
of a very fundamental church and i need to get out - i am tired
of the judgement and looking at people as «saved» and «unsaved» (we recently had a church event where if you brought an «unsaved» friend they got to rollerskate for free - i wanted to vomit)- i just want to
follow Jesus - do nt know where to go but i do want to stay part
of a church (for the sake
of my children)- i saw somewhere on your blog that you too are in the hudson valley — are there any churches you can recommend that fall in line with your

Another preacher preaching what ever goes is ok with Christianity... If your going to preach Christianity based on the Bible, then you might as well forget gay marriages are ok... If you want to twist it around then thats up to you... Paul said, «The Berens were
of noble charachter because they didn't believe what they heard, but they took what they heard and confirmed it with the Bible... So its like the Yen or Yang... Its either Gods church or Satans Church... Can't be any other
way... Do I hate gays, no... I have some very close friends that I have had for over 30 years that are gay, but I
think they will be accountable for their life styles... Thats the thing about Christianity, we are held accountable, its not an everything goes belief... Its rules we have to
follow... And rules we will be held accountable... So maybe this preacher needs to start a dfferent faith or religion... One where there are no rules and where its people are not accountable for their actions...
