fondant on it but some others have asked above.
I did taste
some fondant on a baby shower cake years ago and did not care for it.

i know the cake has to be completely cool but the crumb coat bit is confusing i have heard that buttercream goes dry and crusty so just confused as to when to put
the fondant on.
We are NOT having
fondant on our wedding cake for exactly that reason!!

So, I made Liam's cake (my favorite chocolate cake) with easy vanilla buttercream frosting and a
fondant caterpillar
on the top, but didn't have time to hand - sculpt each of the foods out of
fondant.
The entrée is a choice of St. Jacques Pan-Seared Scallops served
on a bed of creamy leek
fondant and puff pastry along with caviar beurre blanc, or Grilled Petit Filet Mignon with porcini potato gratin and oven - roasted shallot béamaise sauce.
The only things that aren't technically raw
on this cake are the unicorn horns and ears as you have to cook the
fondant slightly at the beginning, and of course the few sprinkles I threw over the top.

I created the frosting as a healthier, lower sugar alternative to the
fondant icing traditionally used
on Christmas cakes.
The image
on the cupcakes was taken from the party invitation and printed
on an edible image printer, then backed onto a circle of
fondant to make the cupcake topper.
I made the flower using
fondant as well as the ruffles
on top!

on using Viva paper towels to smooth out buttercream to make it look like

So I called up around 11 bakeries near my house but sadly none of them made like this
fondant cake and I found one bakery online but their prices were just too high it was around $ 105 for a cake that also only a shoe
on top of the cake but I wanted something that had makeup and all so I decided to go ahead and make it myself only and I did it.
She topped it with a «sandcastle» made from sugar sand and stuck in a large
fondant «4» and two little signs with the kids» names
on them.
The postage stamps from the invitation were replicated
