who has an award - winning
food blog all about Lebanese cooking and discovered her secrets to super creamy hummus.
Many
food bloggers have made them & loved them,
friends and family
who have tried the recipe have raved, and I've even gotten emails from readers in various parts of the world
who have really enjoyed these beans.
I usually make my bananaramas with almond milk, but my dear
friend and fellow
food blogger Kauia Moriaty
who writes the wunderbar eat it blog, informed me of the ladies
who are spreading the joys of fermenting to the masses.
My
friend Colleen,
who happens to be a
food blogger, had the idea to reach out to other
bloggers as well as some of their collective contacts to pull off a fantastic holiday surprise for 21 children
who live in a small remote village in Alaska where one can only get in or out by bush plane or a small boat via the rough Nushagak River.

friend who is surviving throat cancer and learning to eat whole

who is separated from her husband and dealing with crippling anxiety a

Some of them are part of my life (my sister, my family of
friends, my university professors, ladies I collaborate with) and others part of me forever (my mother and grandmother); and then there are also those
who I have never actually met, but make an impact all the same: inspiring
food bloggers and photographers whose work and kindness I admire and aspire to, poets and activists, comedians and writers
who make me feel so damn proud to be a woman.
So, when I heard about a few fellow
food recipe
blogger friends who were getting together to celebrate #Crocktober, I was pretty much all in immediately.
