Dana - I am uncertain as to if baby
food jars are heat safe, so I can't say whether this will
work or not.
I did two things differently first for the cinnamon filling I made it in a pint sizes mason
jar and then transferred to a plastic
food safe squeeze bottle which
worked like a charm.

I love
working with mason

jar of organic carrots (2.5 oz) was $ 0.85, which
works out to be $ 0.34 per ounce.
I do not microwave in plastic because of the risk of toxins getting into the
food, actually don't care for microwaves that much so I started putting my hot things in glass containers, even small mason
jars work for heating up if you'd like to use a microwave, or I heat them up at home, store them in glass, and keep it separate from the other

While preserving and «putting
food by» is a bit of
work, it is immensely satisfying to see the glimmering
jars of golden peaches, red tomatoes, perfectly sliced pickles, and an array of jeweled jams and jellies lining the pantry shelves.
