Elana, I have followed your blog for a number of years and found similarities in
food journeys yet mine is due to an autoimmune condition.

Creating some space in your schedule to bring your kids along for the
journey of shopping (or better
yet, picking - if you are fortunate enough to have a veggie garden) and being involved in some kitchen creations can be a real source of joy for little ones, and a great time to teach them about the origins of their
food.
Over the past several months, I was invited to two separate events which featured the history of Kosher
food — one of which was a book talk and tasting discussing the
journey of kosher
food through the modern
food system, and
yet, ironically, the
food served was not actually kosher.
Consider taking a moment upon waking to simply lay still and acknowledge the many gifts in your life in that moment — the gift of a new day, a new opportunity to create the life that you desire; the gift of a roof over your head and a bed in which to sleep; the gift of
food to nourish you and a family with whom to share that nourishment... The list goes on and is unique to each one of us (
yet completely the same, since we are all one; sharing this physical world, our collective energy, on a
journey alone, together).
I am on a
journey to a better me, means I eat super healthy exercise I don't drink or smoke, but if you do that is your choice, however I am not perfect «
yet» lol I am also a chef I love
food!!
