I put my corporate career on hold to spend time with my kids, and like many moms I became an obsessive
label reader in an effort to find the healthiest
foods to feed my young family.
The gist of the blame aimed at me by a few
readers is, if I really cared, I would be really grateful about manufacturers being kind enough to warn us via
food labels, for our sake and the sake of our beloved children, about what products contains allergens, especially the life - threatening ones.
The
reader assumes full responsibility for reading
food labels properly and consulting the appropriate medical health care professional.
But you do have to be an ace nutrition -
label reader to make sure you're getting
foods that offer a good nutritional value.
All of these «
foods» seem innocent, but as a
reader I can't help but constantly note all the «artificial crap» on the
labels.
People generally expressed concern about the
food dye issue as well as other aspects of our
food supply which may be unsafe, and I shared with the group some resources I've recently learned about — first, a link to Natural Candy Store.com (which, coincidentally, I found out about from Jenna herself via Twitter) as well as a mobile phone app created by CSPI to help consumers sort through additives on
food labels (shared with me by a TLT

I am a serous
label reader but the if u don't bring my glasses to the grocery store I can't read the teenie weeny mice print these harmful ingredients need to printed much bigger and explained better terrible and we wonder why cancer has exploded these
food companies seem to run the world and they all need to be sued and pay all cancer victims medical bills
While most of you
readers are certainly wise to the dangers of fast
food, certain
food industry practices have been well concealed by deceptive
labelling and advertising.
Next to being an avid
label reader, the absolute best thing we can do is simply make our
food ourselves!
Become a
label reader — though most of the
foods you should be eating should not require
labels.
