First of all, I just wanted to thank you for all these amazing recipes which you post - they have helped give me a much healthier outlook on food and treating myself without feeling guilty.
Really appreciate this budget food section as a student can not afford to cook many of the dishes despite them looking incredibly appetising and while a lot of blogs will do a post with a couple tips for eating healthy within a budget this seems pretty unique — its great to see a practical application of them in recipes and on a recurring basis — if this was any indication of what's in store then i'm super excited!

Basically, posting recipes to a food blog is like a famous person on the red carpet: you can't wear (or bake) the same thing twice.
Stephanie Sandler of Hudson Valley Parent posted the recipe for Miniature Mac and Cheese Cups, as well, and told a lovely story about her longtime love of mac and cheese — and her need for more convenience foods in her life.
A long - time vegan, it has been a little difficult choosing certain options over more comfort - food alternatives, but I feel like the last bunch of recipes that have been posted are not really the best at being low - fat or not so processed.
Posts like this help me pay for the costs associated with this blog (groceries... lots of groceries), and help support me as I pursue a career in recipe development and food photography.
I know this post has been long winded, but what I'm trying to say is that even if you don't fancy yourself a good cook or recipe creator, it doesn't mean you can't think out of the box and give your food personal touches.

I almost didn't post this muffin recipe because they turned out a little flatter and uglier than I had hoped, certainly not ideal food styling material.
Please, please reassure us that you'll keep posting recipes and hysterical and touching essays about food and family and everything else, even after you have your own show on cable, and are putting your name on a line of cookware, and opening a restaurant.
Sweet potatoes are one of my top 5 favorite foods ever and I'll make a post about my favorite sweet potato recipes as well.
this post melts my heart Kristen... not only because it's your brother's favorite recipe but because you didn't even know it existed before the holidays... and now you have it in your possession... i think this is what i love about food the most: it's connection to people not only from one generation to the next, but to all cultures as well... the era, «before babies» and «after babies», what was happening in lives, etc., it's exactly the story behind the recipe itself... and now your children will pass it along to their children, telling the story about how you didn't even know it existed but it's a family favorite... i am doing a happy dance for you!!
