body has a tremendous capacity to store
food and energy and
work efficiently, and we can negatively affect that process by stuffing ourselves
with food when it's not needed or wanted.
Nurturing your
body with nutrient - rich
foods not only affects how your
body works on the inside, but it also makes a huge difference to how you look on the outside and there are lots of different nutrients that are really great for healthy hair.
After a few years as a chef and then
working as a
food writer and stylist I became a little jaded
with food and realised my
body wasn't feeling the way I knew it could.
I'm
working hard at deciding if my
food is nourishing (in mind,
body, or soul, because sometimes it's more about the eating
with friends and less about what the
food is...) and this is so helpful.
And it really ticks me off because I
work so hard to keep my immune system in tip - top shape - loading my
body with healing
foods, taking daily supplements (including echinacea when I feel even the slightest tickle in my throat) and drinking my green juice and smoothies.
I don't have much experience
with food sensitivities so no advice, but I'm sure you'll find what
works for your
body in time.
If you truly are what you eat, why not make sure your plates, bowls and tupperware - packed, meal - prepped lunches and snacks contain the
foods that
work with and for your
body.
That doesn't mean that everyone should - but everyone has certain
foods that
work better
with their
bodies than others, and everyone should be true to their own
body.
Well, I believe that
food should be used as a source of fuel or recovery for your
body, so if you
work out, then you need to give it some loving
with some good - for - you ingredients I also don't believe in all that no - fat nonsense!
I'm a certified health coach and believe in whole healthy
foods with some necessary convenience, making small adjustments that add up to big results, and listening to the signs and symptoms your
body sends you to determine a lifestyle that
works for you.

We have no evidence that calorie -, energy - or macronutrient - controlled diets
work long term for weight loss and know that it is much better to focus on having a nourishing diet that fuels your
body with good
food.
I was excited to be

Work hard, but don't forget to take care of yourself by getting lots of sleep, moving every day, and making sure to fill your
body with nourishing, energy - boosting
foods.
