professionals working with children and adolescents with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
An applicant may submit to the Board an application
for such a
license if the applicant holds a corresponding valid and unrestricted
license as a marriage and family therapist or
clinical professional counselor, as applicable, in the District of Columbia or any state or territory of the United States.
Except as otherwise provided in NRS 641A.241 and 641A.242, each applicant
for a
license to practice as a
clinical professional counselor must furnish evidence satisfactory to the Board that the applicant:
Not later than 15 business days after receiving an application
for a
license by endorsement to practice as a marriage and family therapist or
clinical professional counselor pursuant to this section, the Board shall provide written notice to the applicant of any additional information required by the Board to consider the application.
Unless the Board denies the application
for good cause, the Board shall approve the application and issue a
license by endorsement to practice as a marriage and family therapist or
clinical professional counselor, as applicable, to the applicant not later than 45 days after receiving the application.
It is unlawful
for any person, other than a person
licensed under this chapter, to employ or use the term «marriage and family
counselor,» «marriage and family therapist,» «marriage and family therapist intern,» «marital adviser,» «marital therapist,» «marital consultant,» «
clinical professional counselor,» «
clinical professional counselor intern» or any similar title in connection with his or her work, or in any way imply that the person is
licensed by the Board, unless he or she is
licensed under this chapter.
