It's amazing to think how much
spam comments we have to deal in our blogs if it wasn't
for great anti-
spam plugins like Akismet and others!
We suggest leaving all member
comments except
for the following:
spam, porn, extremely offensive material (eg Pro-Nazi, etc), or direct personal attacks on other members.
So any
comment by any author can be seen as
spamming and grounds
for banishment from the site.

I was banned
for pointing out there was
spam comments or
for supporting people pointing it out.
Because he
spams constantly on other articles so now people rather just flag him
for spam even if he
comments normally.
It's easy to use and set up, and I like it
for the most part, but (among other issues) it lets
spam bots through while actual people are unable to leave
comments on my entries.
[Response: We've decided to keep the RC - wiki editors restricted
for the time being to prevent
spam / vandalism etc., but we will transfer all information from these
comments to the wiki page at regular intervals.
