Drawing Room was initiated in 2002 by curators Mary Doyle, Kate Macfarlane and Katharine Stout to provide the major European resource
for contemporary drawing.
In 2001, she co-founded the Drawing Room, the major European non-profit organization
for contemporary drawing.
Drawing Room is the first dedicated non-profit space in the UK
for contemporary drawing and our Outset Study is the only specialist contemporary drawing library and study area is the first of its kind in the UK and Europe.

On the ride home from Mass Moca, I had a conversation with Mike Weins, one of my senior art students from Castleton State College, over the border in Vermont, about the strangeness of viewing a
