The Nassau Interim Finance Authority approved a retirement incentive
program for county workers to help reduce staff and payroll costs for years to come.
Both candidates also said the best way to help get Nassau finances in order is to cut overtime
pay for county workers.
But County Legislator and Minority Leader Kevin McCaffrey told The Suffolk Times that moving more meetings east would decrease
productivity for county workers called in to advise legislators at the committee meetings.
