keywords for Bing and Yahoo searches.
The whole reason you have a single -
keyword adgroup is to serve a beautifully relevant ad

exact search query, so you want to «help Google help you» and make sure that is the adgroup getting this impression
In
Keyword Tool, you could look at search volume
for broad match, phrase match or
exact match.
A phrase match works in a similar vein, triggering your ad
for any search query that includes your
keyword or phrase in the
exact sequence and form that you specify.
For precise
keyword targeting, it's worth using an
exact match or phrase match.
In August 2016 Google stopped showing
exact monthly search volumes
for keywords in the
Keyword Planner.
SERP is a good tool, if you have a few shortlisted
keywords which need further research to check their viability as it only shows data

As
for having too many
keywords, a couple other suggestions
for refinement include narrowing your match type from broad to «phrase» or [
exact] matching and adding negative
keywords where appropriate.
In most cases you will find that your
exact match
keyword has the highest conversion rate but also costs you the most with the least amount of traffic, and that the
exact opposite is true
for broad match.
Exact match restricts your ads from showing unless someone's search term exactly matches your
keywords (with some slight adjustments), while the other types allow
for increasing variations of this.
Use Google's
keyword research tool, select «Broad», «Phrase» and «
Exact»
keyword matches
for some target
keyword phrases or analysis of a competitor web site; the
keywords returned, once you have sorted them into the highest searches first, are the most popular
keywords that are being searched on.
What I did was to do a search
for the
exact phrase you used - online dating - and
for related phrases and
keywords and then visit every site I found.
I think that in the first
keyword graphic, the right result
for... Make Money Using Your Computer: 320
exact searches Should be (58 searches) as that's what's in square brackets and getting the «
exact search».
The challenge with «Productivity» was that it was far more crowded with books optimizing
for that
keyword and phrases that were
exact title searches (i.e. Extreme Productivity is a book).
As more and more companies buy up
exact keyword domains the prices will continue to rise, and the short sweet domains will be
for those grand fathered in, or those with big checkbooks.
As a purely hypothetical example, if the keyphrase «New York tax lawyer» appeared in 85 searches in the sample search database in the past 100 days, and 1,670 websites use that
exact phrase, the KEI
for that
keyword is 4.326 (i.e., 85 squared divided by 1670).
They will show an ad when a potential client searches
for words similar to that of your
keyword, but not necessarily
exact.
