of her third

for a film that contains a both a colon and a hyphen in its title.
Not only would I have loved to hear from celebrity
fans David Lynch and Sofia Coppola (who paid homage to the title sequence in Lost in Translation), but an account
of the battle Kubrick and producer James Harris waged with the Catholic Legion
of Decency would've made
for incredibly compelling material, while a scholarly discussion
of Lolita the
novel might've thrown new light on this adaptation, so often naively dismissed as a sanitization
of the source material.

for director Andy Muschetti's re-adaptation
of Stephen King's
novel IT seeks to prey on
fans» fears
of Pennywise.
He's dutifully sincere and in awe
of the efforts that crafted the film's striking look, but with zero info on the
novel, script adaptation, lead actors, memorable character actors, and Mamoulian's obvious style and use
of heavy subtext in so many scenes (including the heavy religious iconography that goes bonkers in the final reel), it's a huge lost opportunity
for film
fans.

It's a monumental amount
for any franchise to rake in, but when you look at the history
of «Fifty Shades» and its author, and remember that the story she was telling was actually a
fan - fiction based on the «Twilight» series
of novels and films, it's incredible to see how far the series has come.
The Shack -
Fans of the faith - based bestselling
novel will probably be able to go with this, but
for everyone else the movie is a mushy swamp
of sentimentality, mixed metaphors and grotesquely simplified religion.
Overall, 90 minutes just isn't enough to properly bring the
novel to life and
for fans of the book this might be the reason it falls flat.
Herein the film version has its work cut out
for it, as
fans of the
novel already know the big reveal at the end
of the line.

for fans of E.L. James» S&M
novels, many pointing out the lack
of sparks between the two where there were supposed to be kilowatts
of sexual chemistry.
Attempts at comic relief and a few scares come off as too goofy to work effectively, making this a film only
of interest
for drive - in cinema regulars, Haim's staunchest
of fans, and those who are insatiably curious after reading the Koontz
novel.
While the film adaptation looks to be showcasing exactly what
fans of the
novel want to see, just how far is a studio film going to be able to show and how much will they leave
for the much more powerful use
of imagination.
The film starring Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele and James Dornan as Christian Grey certainly looks to hit all the notes
fans of the
novels were looking
for.

for the world's longest - running play (based on her book The Mousetrap) her murder mysterious have delighted billions
of fans.
Serious
fans of the
novels will be prepared
for the serial codicils, but the uninitiated are likely to think the film is over several times before it actually is.
And while it doesn't look like the film will be the hit many
fans of the
novel would have hoped
for, the film starring Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey is set to beat its opening weekend rival Detroit at the box office.
For fans of A Man Called Ove and the
novels of Adriana Trigiani, a charming, delightfully sexy, and bighearted
novel starring Auntie Poldi, Sicily's newest amateur sleuth.
And
for both
fans of the Dark Knight and newcomers this is a must read
novel in any form.
