In the latest edition of Paycheck to Paycheck, Center
for Housing Policy (CHP) researchers draw on the latest data from the first quarter of 2013 to reveal the gap between wages and the costs of housing, both rental and owned, in 207 U.S. metro areas for workers in occupations central to the summer vacations Americans hope to squeeze in before school starts.
The Center
for Housing Policy tracks wage information for 74 occupations and compares it to the cost of housing — for owning and renting — in more than 200 metro areas.
«If we look at basic demographics, the population of those ages 65 and up will increase 120 percent between 2012 and 2015,» says Jeffrey Lubell, executive director of the Center
