I consider this a significant step forward, both because of the potential benefit to individuals who need help and for the model it
provides for joint action.
For example, PICO's California Project has brought together about 20 local groups
for joint action on state - policy issues.
The qualities sought in such an individual represent not only the traditional trust and expectations of the community, but also the very special flexibility and skills that the persons have demonstrated in providing a
focus for joint action on the part of the community's professional and volunteer helpers.
It is a commitment that covers all bases, therefore, in observance of the continuous pursuit for improvement, by constantly monitoring technological evolutions and increasingly involving suppliers and
customers for a joint action against climate changes.
The SDGs generate
momentum for joint action, not only on the transition towards a more sustainable society in individual countries, but also on forging relationships between economies around the world.
COAG reaffirmed its commitment to closing the outcomes gap between Indigenous people and other Australians over a generation and resolved that the initial
priority for joint action should be on ensuring that young Indigenous children get a good start in life.
COAG's future work will focus on those areas
identified for joint action which have the greatest capacity to achieve real benefits for Indigenous Australians in the short and long term.
