For the 2017 edition, ADAA members will present a wide range of solo exhibitions highlighting artists from around the world, including presentations that offer new insights on established and influential artists, such as Abstract Expressionist Norman Lewis, whose paintings will be presented by Michael Rosenfeld Gallery; leading Minimalist Josef Albers, whose paintings and drawings on paper will be presented by David Zwirner; and Post-Impressionist Édouard Vuillard, whose paintings and works on paper will be presented by Jill Newhouse Gallery.

Select highlights include: Lehmann Maupin's sale of several McArthur Binion works ranging from $ 50,000 - 175,000 to trustees of two leading U.S. museums, as well as collectors new to the gallery; Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac's sale of two works by George Baselitz in a range of c. $ 599,000 - 838,000 each, a Robert Rauschenberg work for $ 725,000, a Tony Cragg sculpture for c. $ 210,000, and a metal and wood piece by Jack Pierson for $ 190,000; Royale Projects sold three Clinton Hill paintings at around $ 95,000 each to collectors from New York and California; David Kordansky sold out its booth of photography by Torbjørn Rødland in the range of $ 14,00028,000 each; Jack Shainman's sales of recent work by Hank Willis Thomas, including a major sculpture, a retroflective, and one of Thomas» iconic flags in the Live section, and works by Lynette Yiadom - Boakye, Becky Suss, Enrique Martinez Celaya and Geoffrey Chadsey; Gallery Hyundai's sale of a pair piece by Seung - taek Lee for $ 100,000 - 200,000 and two works by Minjung Kim for $ 40,000 - 100,000.

Barbra Riley has been developing curriculum and teaching classes in photography, design and watercolor painting at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi for over 3 decades as well as curating exhibitions for the Islander and Weil Gallery, conducting workshops in historical photographic processes, bookbinding and watercolor painting and leading classes and workshops abroad.

Krebber's work represents the reductio ad absurdum of a love - hate attitude toward painting that was common among the artists of the 1980s Cologne art scene led by Martin Kippenberger (for whom Krebber once worked as a studio assistant).

So, as we pass through this collection of around 40 drawings and paintings, we're supposed to look for clues and hints of the later brilliance and construct a narrative or timeline that leads to its blossoming (which, here, comes in the form of At the Edge of Town (1986 - 8), a painting showing a figure emerging onto the kind of semiabstracted landscape for which Doig is best known).

Vuillard's interest in patterned surfaces and domestic intimacy led him to produce many of his most compelling works around 1900 in two radically different formats: on the one hand, large - scale paintings, conceived as decorative ensembles and commissioned for private, domestic spaces; and, on the other, intimate color lithographs, produced in series and destined for broader circulation.
