lionfish as part of seasonal competitions and year - round events.

for the smaller creatures, some nudibranchs, shrimps and a juvenile Spotfin
Lionfish were the highlights.
Other creatures to look out
for on the reef include red octopus, moray eels,
lionfish and scorpionfish.

Fish present particular challenges, with the Great Lakes girding

for a 80 percent reduction in the survival rates of small reef fish throughout the region.
Until we can develop a better understanding of this invasion, one of the few control mechanisms may be to develop a market
for them as a food fish...
