The list is composed of the top 12 foods — including spinach, strawberries and tomatoes — that «tested positive

pesticides than other produce,» according to the EWC.
While the FDA has concluded that
pesticide residues pose no risk of concern
for infants and children, certain kinds of conventionally grown produce contain higher doses of
pesticides — even when washed and peeled — which means you should prioritize buying them organic.
It is also approved
for crops that don't retain high levels of
pesticide residue as they grow.
A 2010 & ndashl2011 pilot program at the USDA,
for example, performed 5,022 analyses on 26 strawberry samples and failed to detect
pesticide residues in 5,012 of the 5,022 analyzed.
Pesticide residue testing is now a required practice
for organic certifiers.

pesticide residues can accumulate in compost, heavy metals are also subject to concentration during composting.
There are plenty of reasons to choose organic, it's better
for the environment, the animals are reared using higher animal welfare standards and of course organic produce has lower
