By looking
for price action entry opportunities that have the confluence of the trend and the «value area» behind them, we can significantly improve our chances of trading success.
When you see price approaching one of these event area / levels, you need to take notice because they can be highly - confluent areas to watch
for price action entry signals or even to consider a blind entry.
Finally, after I've drawn in and analyzed the key chart levels and determined the current market condition, I will look
for price action entry signals.
Not exact matches
Now that you've seen the bullish
price action subsequent to the breakout, let's take a more important look at the technical trading criteria that preceded the breakout, which then prompted us to buy the ETF
for swing trade

for a day or two in the $ 25.30 to $ 26.00 area, we might be able to grab a low - risk
entry point on a breakout above a two or three - day high, which would also put the
price back above the 200 - day MA.

entry into the e-book business provided a perfect opportunity
for collective

As you can see from the examples above, the idea with this trade
entry «trick» is that we are reading the
price action in a market and when we find a trade setup and have a view on the market, we can then fine - tune our
entry and this then gives us options
for stop loss placement and targets.

It's nice to get a pin bar or another
price action signal at the boundary of trading ranges
for extra «confirmation» of a trade, but because the boundaries of a trading range are so solid, we can also consider taking «blind
entries» at them as
price hits them, e.g. take a sell
entry at a resistance level of a trading range as
price comes back up to the key resistance level, even if there is no
price action signal there.
A profitable trader will also write their own trading plan that sets their parameters
for action: markets to trade,
entry signals, stop losses, trailing stops,
price targets and position sizing.

entry on the intraday charts, you are better off avoiding this type of

Ideally you want to wait
for a
price action setup to form at a key level after the market has pulled back a bit, a good example of this would be if your initial position moved in your favor and then pulled back to around 50 % of the way back to your
entry and then formed a pin bar at a key level, or some other
price action setup at a key level; this would be a logical spot to add to a position by averaging in.
So, I also look to trade from these major chart levels either by watching
for clean
price action signals or by getting in at the level on a blind
entry.
Entry setups rarely trigger (around 50 % of the time) but when they do they can generate huge profits (always aim

entry «trick» is essentially entering a
price action signal on an approximate 50 % retrace, i.e. entering on a limit order as
price retraces to the 50 % level of a pin bar

While it's still necessary to wait
for a close above or below a key level before considering an

price action can lead to a break will help you avoid being on the wrong side of a trending market.
