Sauce with pickled vegetables, the Romanian style I would say, pickled green
tomatoes for me and mostly gherkins

tomato halves, fresh cilantro leaves, a little more Baja
Sauce, and a few

Sauce To barbecue is to
roast an animal whole, and baste it frequently with a special dressing,
for which the following recipe is borrowed from Frank Bates: One pint of vinegar, half a can of
tomatoes, two teaspoonfuls of red pepper (chopped pepper - pods are better), a teaspoonful of black pepper, same of salt, two tablespoonfuls of butter.
I had plain
tomato sauce for it, but couldn't find the second 8 oz can so I used Ragu
roasted red pepper spaghetti

For the enchilada
sauce — toast two dried chiles (I used New Mexico chiles) in a skillet and then Vitamix it with a can of fire
roasted diced
tomatoes — in the same skillet, saute a diced onion & some garlic in EVOO until well softened, then toss into the Vitamix with the
tomato mixture.
I put together this quick marinara
sauce yesterday
for our Sunday lunch, served over whole wheat rotini pasta and accompanied with sun - dried
tomato chicken sausages,
roasted broccoli and some
roasted eggplant.
Top with things like hummus / pesto /
tomato sauce as a base, loads of
roasted veggies, your fave herbs / spices and some chickpeas / lentils

I started these with a homemade
sauce that came from combining some scratch
tomato paste I had from leftover
tomatoes this summer; adding a small jar of slow
