In chapters like «The Meaning of Sex,» «Becoming a Singular Sensation,» «The Gift of the Present Moment,» «Winning the Spiritual Battle,» and «Craving Heaven,» Eden describes God's design
for human sexuality, why sex is reserved
for marriage, the importance of modesty, how singles struggling
with loneliness and unrequited
love can empower themselves through prayer and the sacraments, and why
shared values
with one's spouse are so vital
for a successful marriage.
But life is not found here either,
for sex is
one human being
sharing with another on the deepest level, and this is patently impossible when
love and community are separated from sex or when
one relates to a sex partner as a thing, as impersonal as a partner from a rent - a-body agency.

Neville i mentioned those people only because the discussion was talking about dominionism the combination of the church and state as a governing rule all those people were government leaders all of them suffered in there own way.Its was the suffering that prepared them
for the roles that they were to play and there faith in God was what helped them get through. We are made stronger in our weakness no matter how important or unimportant we may appear to others.I guess it is easy to fall into the lie about political involvement that its hard to make change but some people have had a huge impact.Really it is God who deserves the praise he is the

If
one has never journeyed into the deep — prayed (which includes Scripture / theological study, faith
sharing, adoration, spiritual formation / retreats, pilgramages, Mass, reconciliation, fasting, listening
for God's voice, and more) on an ongoing fashion or done God's will (been obedient, patient, humble, unconditionally sacrificing, unselfish) to the extent that they understand what it means to be Catholic and God being your number
one priority — that His Ways and those of His Church are not the ways of the world (trade vices
for virtues) and that we are being called into communion
with Him via
love for Him and
one another in our faith community and broader community — then it is no wonder some are lost or disillusioned.

The programs taught me about (1) admitting I was beat, (2) coming to believe in something greater than myself (eventually a higher power)(many evolutions and concepts of HP, all of these at
one time or another: nature, the 12 steps, creator,
Love, spiritual principles)(Step 3) applying my low self worth and gigantic Ego to these spiritual principles (4) write down my liabilities and assets (5)
share them
with another and my higher power (6 & 7) ask
for the liabilites to be removed and be patient
with the process (8) Make a list of all that were harmed by me (9) make amends to such folks except whn to do so would injure them or myself (10) take a daily inventory of my day, checking
for snafus, mean temperment, arrogance etc (11) meditation and prayer to communicate to my higher power and quiet reflection to listen
for the Truth (12) after having a spiritual awakening as a result of working these steps, help others if they wish
for help because now I am in the position to assist.
I believe that God whispers to me that the Day Nursery I run from my house
with my daughter is a church in His vision of Church — a place built on
love, supporting staff children and families, yes a business, but
one run
for love, providing wages to live, to support charities too and to enable me to have a break every now and then — but God is not yet overtly mentioned other than in 1:1 conversations where I
share my faith (more than I ever did in Church).
I lean towards the third view... but I admit it is the most difficult of the three views... Christ's priorities appear to be «
love in motion» flowing in almost unpredictable directions as dictated by the greatest need: — He heals a slave rather than rebukes slavery; — He heals a man at a pool, then leads the man to belief, then says «cease from sinning»; — He heals many others and says «go and sin no more» to but a few; — He
shares money
with the poor but establishes no long - term aid; — He touches lepers; He converses
with seeking Pharisees; He debates
with other Pharisees; He lives
with Samaritan outcasts
for two days; — He acknowledges the five «marriages» of the Samaritan woman as «marriages»... and then remarks about her current co-habitation... but then moves to higher priorities; — He seems so very focused on internal holiness and not on external holiness; — He violates the Sabbath; He says He is Lord of the Sabbath; He even says that the Sabbath was created to assist man, rather than man created to serve the Sabbath... thus turning the entire concept of the Law into
one of assistance rather than being chained to obedience; — He insists on impartiality in the way we bless others, even if we call them «evil» or «good».
For those who follow Jesus, authority should be surrendered — and shared — willingly, with the humility and love of Jesus... or else we miss the once radical teaching that slaves and masters, parents and children, husbands and wives, rich and poor, healthy and sick, should «submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.&raq

I too have been reading since the beginning — who needs a story — you've got the man, you've got the happiness, and you've got the skills to make
one hell of an empty stomach feel like the luckiest organ in the world — Besides, my husband, who was able to vote when I was born, just happens to be my professor from college... And when people ask what grade I got in his class, I become quiet and
with a slight whisper say «I got a B» — And that was only 1 of 3 B's I got in college... Our story is wonderful
for him since he nabbed the young student... Doesn't sound so good
for me, but I
love him and
sharing it regardless... Happy Anniversary Deb and Alex!!!
