for accountability to educational standards, and believe emphasis on test results will improve the quality
of public education for all students.
Such a point also shines light on the fact that EdTrust and other centrist Democrat reformers backing the plan have been silent about the Obama administration's sloppy and shoddy process
for granting waivers, especially as President Barack Obama struggles to keep office; it is hard
for waiver gambit
supporters to complain about Florida's implementation

of the alternatives to AYP they support without pointing out how the Obama administration's own mishandling
of the effort allowed

of trying to expand the pot
of money that is provided
for primary and secondary
education in Connecticut, thereby helping all
public school children, some charter school
supporters have changed their strategy and are now pushing to modify the state's school funding system so that when a child shifts from a
public school to a charter school all
of the state money associated with the
education of that student would shift as well.
It's the opinion
of this and other school choice
supporters that
public education exists to fund the best possible
education for every child, whether that's at a district school, private school, parochial school, home school, or other service provider.
K12 was a major
