Hi there, I wonder if you could suggest an alternative to bananas
for use in your smoothie recipes as I am allergic to them so I am missing out on trying these recipes.
In The Abs Diet, peanut butter is recommended
for use in smoothies and is labeled a superfood.
The first option is to only use the firm cream from the chilled tin of coconut cream, leaving the coconut water
for use in smoothies.
The fruit is dried to a powder which, because of its creamy structure, is ideal
for use in smoothies, puddings and ice cream.
Try not to get any liquid into the mixing bowl (save the liquid
for using in smoothies!).
Avocado, believe it or not, also freezes well
for use in smoothies.
Next time you have too many ripe bananas, cut them in slices and freeze
them for use in your smoothies.
Next morning you will have soft soaked dates that are ideal
for using in smoothies or any blended food.
What this means is it's good
for use in smoothies.
Refrigerate afterwards
for use in smoothies for the next several weeks.

Note: I peel and chop all my ripe bananas and just leave them
in the freezer to
use for smoothies.
I must admit I not a big fan of eating oat groats
in their sold form (
in a cereal); however, maybe through this
smoothie I can still get my daily dose of oats through oat milk =) Unfortunately I can not find any fresh figs
in the farmer markets these days, nevertheless, I got myself an extra load of raspberries and blackberries, so I shall
use those as a substitute
for the time being.
It's an easy vegetable to incorporate into your diet, I add it to my
smoothies and juices
in the morning,
use it raw as the base of my salads, blend it into dips and sauté or steam it
for quinoa, rice and pasta bowls.

Ripe bananas are also fabulous
in smoothies (and
in Chocolate Chip Banana Cookie Dough Truffles), but their
use doesn't stop there... they also make a great natural sweetener
for cookies!
I usually prefer green
smoothie for my morning meal and I was glad to discover that Arugula need not be
used only
in salads but can be blended
in smoothies as well and tastes as delicious as ever.

Frozen fruit has SO many yummy
uses, so I always have several varieties

It's also perfect to

If you're gonna make a «nicecream» or a
smoothie bowl then always make sure you
use the less sugary fruit, and always ALWAYS add
in a decent fat and protein source
for a more complete bowl of nutrition.
Mostly, I've only
used it so far
for making
smoothies, but
smoothies I'd never have been able to make
in my old blender.
While cauliflower is being
used for every other purpose under the food encrusted sun, I've yet to see it thrown
in the
smoothie realm.
