Guideline 2 of the series Monitoring impacts of urban and peri-urban agriculture and
forestry on climate change mitigation and adaptation. This methodological guideline will provide measurement, quantification and monitoring methods to assess the hypothesis that current and increased Urban and Peri-urban Agriculture and Forestry (UPAF) areas will reduce the urban heat island effect and contribute to energy savings.
Guideline 3 of the series Monitoring impacts of urban and peri-urban agriculture and
forestry on climate change mitigation and adaptation. The methodology provided in this manual for calculating these indicators is an adaptation of the well - known Life Cycle Analysis (LCA).
