The most common
form of protein powder is whey protein.
However, I do still occasionally have whey in
the form of protein powder.
In fact, whether it comes to weight loss or muscle gain, hands down, whey protein is by far the most popular
form of protein powder because of its amino acid profile and cost effectiveness.
There are different
forms of protein powders (whey concentrate, whey isolate, casein protein, milk protein isolate, etc.).
I recommend organic grass fed beef, free range chickens, free range eggs, organic raw dairy, and certain
forms of protein powder.
But the fact is, long - term studies have yet to show that one
form of protein powder is superior for muscle growth and tissue repair compared to the others, so pick the one that best fits your lifestyle and budget.
You just mix
some form of protein powder (whey, casein, etc.) with some form of liquid (water, milk, etc.) and taaadaaa... you instantly have yourself a drinkable high protein meal (aka a protein shake).
My recommendation is to mix 30 - 40 grams of whey protein (or any other high quality
form of protein powder, such as casein or egg) with 1 - 2 cups of skim milk.
