I must admit I not a big fan
of eating oat groats in their sold
form (in a cereal); however, maybe through this smoothie I can still get my daily dose
of oats through oat milk =) Unfortunately I can not find any fresh figs in the farmer markets these days, nevertheless, I got myself an extra load
of raspberries and blackberries, so I shall use those as a substitute for the time being.

of what I mean by eating these foods in their «natural» and «unrefined»
form I mean eating corn, not corn flakes and steel cut

oats / some
form of oatmeal basically every weekday.
This gives steel cut
oats a wildly different texture than other
forms, and completely avoids the «slimy oatmeal» situation that some
of us are all to familiar with.
If it feels too wet to the touch to
form into cookies, add another few Tbsp
of almond meal and / or
oats and stir.
Next, put one cup
of oats into the processor and turn it into flour, then add the dates, flax egg, salt, vanilla, and Sunbutter Sunflower Spread (or nut butter if you prefer) and process until it
forms a ball.
If I had to guess, I would say that I added about 1/4 cup to 1/3 cup
of oats, cashews, and coconut flour to about 1 1/2 cups
of the bean - olive - sweet potato mixture,
formed it into four patties, about 1 - inch thick, and pan fried both sides over medium to medium - high heat for a couple
of minutes in a skillet liberally coated with non-stick spray.
2) Sift the flour and add it to the butter and sugar mix, then add the
oats and chopped nuts 3) Stir well until it achieves a homogenous texture 4) Using a teaspoon, scoop up 1 teaspoon
of batter, and then
form a small ball by rolling it between your palms 5) Place the balls
of batter on a greased baking tray, leaving about 3 cm
of space between each ball until the tray is full 6) Bake in oven at around 170 deg celcius (medium heat for gas oven) for around 15 to 20 minutes, or until the edges
of the cookies start turning golden brown 7) Once finished baking, use a spatula to move the cookies to a plate to cool
Reduce the heat to medium and cook, stirring frequently, until the
oats are completely cooked and very soft, adding 1 to 2 tablespoons
of water as needed until a thick porridge
forms, 7 minutes.
I usually go for immediate breakfast gratification in the
form of overnight
oats.
Raw Chocolate Chunk Cheesecake with Peanut Butter and Coconut Ingredients Crust 1 cup
oats (or buckwheat if you want it GF) 1 cup dates Cheesecake 2 or more bananas1 / 4 cup melted coconut oil2 cups cashews1 1/2 cups dates1 / 4 cup liquid sweetener, like maple syrup, if desiredBeans from one vanilla pod (or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract) Water, as needed1 / 4 cup cacao or carob powder Topping 3 tablespoons raw chocolate3 tablespoons raw peanut butter (or you can use regular — it's up to you) Preparation Process the

I usually eat chocolate in the
form of baked oatmeal or cookies made with
oats (basically more oatmeal).
My interpretation
of this chocolate hazelnut cookie is lightly baked as I don't own a dehydrator (yet), however, it contains no dairy, gluten or refined sugar and it is full
of whole food goodness in the
form of hazelnuts,
oats, coconut and apple.
