If you truly think that predictions have not changed in 90 years then you clearly have no interest in engaging in the evolving science
of fossil fuel depletion.
As long as the American Dream remains a single family home, especially in extreme climates, not only will the PHI standard be prohibitively expensive to meet, but homes will continue to be a growing contribution to climate change and
rapid fossil fuel depletion.
The LCA examined the effects of a 1 kilogram industry - average corrugated product manufactured in 2014 on seven environmental impact indicators: global warming potential (greenhouse gas emissions), eutrophication, acidification, smog, ozone depletion, respiratory effects,
fossil fuel depletion; and four inventory indicators: water use, water consumption, renewable energy demand, and non-renewable energy demand.
At the beginning of the present century fossil fuels were still relatively cheap, but concerns about energy security, global warming and
fossil fuel depletion were already rumbling around.
Whether
the fossil fuel depletion problem is related or not is in the eye of the beholder.
Due to the design constraints of both climate mitigation and
fossil fuel depletion, the possibility of an electric system based primarily on renewable energy is drawing increased attention from analysts.
Like I have said before, oil depletion and
fossil fuel depletion are the real drivers to alternative energy schemes, not climate change, otherwise people wouldn't be proposing these half - baked ideas to a problem (i.e. Peak Oil) that most people claim does not exist.
With new climate change legislation all but guaranteed,
fossil fuel depletion a reality, and more and more states initiating new renewable portfolio standards, power plant developers are going to find it in their best interests to seek cleaner, safer forms of power generation.
Recently retired, the articles she was reading about
fossil fuel depletion, climate change, and economic instability left her feeling thoroughly depressed, scared, and hopeless.
And given the reality of
our fossil fuel depletion, there is little doubt that the new administration - complete with its loyal renewable energy supporters on both sides of the aisle - will now move forward with a framework and incentives to spark large - scale renewable energy development.
I personally believe we are going to exceed the EIA's projections, but I also believe that
fossil fuel depletion is going to put pressure on all sources of energy.
A Transition Initiative (which could be a town, village, university or island etc) is a community - led response to the pressures of climate change,
fossil fuel depletion and increasingly, economic contraction.
