I actually
found apple sauce in a pouch at Costco this weekend!
I've
found apple sauce to be the essential «secret» ingredient that makes all of the above possible, while adding a bit of its subtle sweetness to the mix.
Where do I buy Apple puree from, I could only
find apple sauce, I also noticed that I could still taste the cauliflower but that maybe due to the fact I didn't squeeze out all of the water.
I live in Japan and can not
find apple sauce.
A little too sweet for me because I wasn't able to
find an apple sauce brand without added sugar, but I will keep looking for a better one for next time.

I've substituted with
apple sauce before but have
found that it doesn't always work.
When it comes to common pantry staples, oils, flours, and spices are usually
found on well - stocked shelves — but why not
apple sauce?
i was going to make some
sauces to give away at christmas, and i was thinking «ooh, what about an
apple cider caramel
sauce» but i hadn't done any research to
find out how to go about it.
If you cant
find red
apples like ours, you can add a little pomegranate juice or grated beetroot to the
apple sauce while mixing to make it more red.
But he figured out that by using the most deep red
apples we could
find, kept the peel on, cooked on low heat and then blended the
sauce, it got a beautiful pink / red color.
I
found that using both (
apple sauce and coconut oil) allowed the gingerbread men to have that crunchy texture on the outside and chewy texture on the inside.
When making this recipe you'll
find that it also calls for
apple sauce.
I just need to
find hemp seeds in West Yorkshire, we can't buy reliable stevia easily either — I will use
apple sauce instead of water and make these beauties!

Apple sauce as a replacement to oil or marg - Prune puree to replace oil (an example I
found for this was: 6 oz prunes, 1 cup water, 2 tsp vanilla pureed in blender)- Pureed Tofu (silken is usually good)
Side note on the
sauce: I
find it too vinegar - y with all the ketchup, etc., so I reduced the
apple cider vinegar by 1/2, or to a tablespoon.

I'm thrilled that I recently
found out about Caveman Bob's Paleo BBQ
Sauce which has no added sugar (most BBQ
sauces have a lot of sugar), instead getting its sweetness from
apples.
I have made healthy muffins with
apple sauce and although delicious when fresh, I
found they went a little dry quickly.
I prefer using
apple sauce as a filler / sweetener as I
find banana can give a strange after taste, especially if it isn't really really ripe.
So far I have failed in
finding ready made unsweetened and preservative free
apple sauce locally (Malta).
Plus, two of our
sauces needed very special vinegars — one the best all - natural
apple cider vinegar we could
find, the other one a premium red wine vinegar.
I'm sure it would be possible to do, but it would take some experimenting to
find the right balance of flour,
apple sauce, and liquid sweetener, and even then, this is such a moist cake that I'm afraid the results wouldn't be as good.

find unsweetened
apple sauce, so I used sweetened
apple sauce and only 3/4 cups of sugar.
Also I made a yummy lemon
sauce for a
apple cake, I had some left over and used it as a topping for this recipe and it was delicious, you can

My usual
apple muffin recipe uses
apple sauce so I did a search for a recipe with fresh
apples and
found several.
